Booking & Lessons
How do I book a session?
You can book directly through our website. Once you select a time and complete the payment, you will receive a confirmation email with your unique lesson link.
What platform do we use for classes?
We use Google Meet. You don’t need a paid account to join; just click the link in your confirmation email at the start of our session.
I’m a complete beginner. Can I still take lessons?
Absolutely! We tailor every lesson to your current level. Our “Getting to Know You” form helps us prepare the right materials before we even meet.
Payments & Refunds
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and Stripe. All transactions are processed in USD.
What is your refund policy?
We offer refunds on unused lesson bundles upon request within 30 days of purchase. However, we do not offer refunds for lessons that have already been completed.
Is my credit card information safe?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption through our payment processors. Words to Wander, LLC never sees or stores your full credit card details.
Cancellations & Timing
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you notify us at least 24 hours before your lesson, we can reschedule at no extra cost. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable.
What happens if I am late to class?
Your teacher will wait in the classroom for 15 minutes. If you arrive within that window, we will have a shortened lesson ending at the original scheduled time. After 15 minutes, the lesson is considered a “No-Show.”
How do time zones work?
Our booking system automatically detects your local time zone. The time you see on the calendar is your local time.

Tasha Steimer, our founder and Chief Language Educator, founded Words to Wander as a path to pursue her lifelong dream of living and traveling abroad. By combining her passions for language, international travel and cultural exploration, she is able to follow her own dreams while empowering other curious explorers to do the same—all through the power of words.

- TEFL/TESOL Certification, TEFL Academy (ITA), 2019
- 150+ hours of course work
- 50+ hours of practical experience teaching young learners and adult professionals
- Online teaching experience through Bling ABC
- Volunteer tutoring/teaching through International House, Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter and Providence High School (all based in Charlote, North Carolina).
